Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So what laptops do you own, post up some pictures aswell if you want to.

    Heres mine

Firstly on the left, my packard bell iGo laptop, bought it about 2yrs ago, still ok but is slow now.

In the middle my Inspiron 9100, it spends more time on the table, as its too heavy, but its great for some games, hav'nt played the latest games on it yet though.

And on the right, my latest addition, my inspiron 6000, its brilliant and very portable for me anyway.

So lets see who has what laptop and which one's are popular.

Inspiron 9100, just like you.... and mine spends most of the time on a table too. Way too heavy to cart around but I couldn't resist the specs - fell in love with the 1920 x 1200 widescreen at first glance :D .

    mostly old skool stuff:

    IBM 600e: 386MB, 12GB, PII 400 Win2k
    IBM 390E: 196MB, 10GB, PII 366 Win2k
    ibook G4: 800mhz, 386MB, 30GB OS 10.4
    Powerbook G4: 500Mhz 768MB, 40GB, OS 9.2.2, 10.3 & 10.4
    Powerbook G4: 677, 512MB, 30GB, OS 9.2.2 & 10.4
    Powerbook G3 266, 192MB, 10GB, OS 9.2.2

The iBook has no screen (was intended for in car use, haven't gotten around to it yet)

the 677 powerbook has developed a logic board prob, so ill be splitting that on ebay!

All are being used at one stage or another. The primary laptop being the powerbook G4 500, after that the 600E which despite torrents of abuse, refuses to die!

Dell Inspiron 8200 P4 1.6GHz, 640MB RAM, 40GB HDD, 15" UXGA with 64MB NVidia GeForce 440 Go (godzilla, a few years old, excellent for UT2004 and movies)

Dell Latitude D505 P4 1.7Ghz, 1GB RAM, 40GB HDD, 14.1" XGA (light weight, for work)

And a Compaq compact desktop too, but I haven't used it in years!

IBM Thinkpad T41 - great little machine.
I don't really like the way most modern laptops are grey - it looks a bit cheap IMO. The T40 series are good solid no-nonsense black laptops.
