Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Shipping will be $55
    I can get a wireless card with it for $20

    The main disadvantage is that I will have to get an external CD drive/writer

    So, before paying for the writer, it will be a total of just under €300. I think this is a good deal, no?

    Go to ebay UK and sit on the end page for a few days, it will be no time before some idiot puts up a fast laptop with a price that is well under its true value. a P4 3000mhz went for just under £400 it was almost new with loads of extras. I was so tempted by it. SOmetimes you get a good bargain.

    Is it better to Buy It Now, or bid for items? I dont really have the time for all that shenanigans, but it would be nice to get a good bargain. My budget is 300, stretching to 350 at the max.

    Definatly then, I watch the end usually (as in the latest added) and sometimes a prime target comes up with an idiot seller. Seen two 200mhz machine PWO go for £20 stg with postage of 30, which I think is what you would call a bargain. Buy it now or auction format, gab a bargain so long as the seller can be trusted. Make sure to look at the seller before the machine as thats where the problems most often lie!

    There are a couple of slightly higher spec laptops on eBay.ie as we speak for what looks like a lower price...

    An example is...

    Ok...I'm very close to going for this;

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6777231325&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

    I'm trying to get it for a total of $420, which will include;

    The laptop,
    Wireless card,
    CDRW DVD external
    Shipping

    Yay or nay pray tell?
