Simply put, who is the best heavy metal band of all time? Who has every ingrediant to make the ultimate sound of heavy metal? In my opinion, the answer is Slayer. They have never sold out or gone soft but always stuck simply to heavy metal and everything that goes with it. What do you guys think? Who is it in your opinions?

Late Motorhead without a doubt. Their early stuff was more punk than anything.
