    Or you could go out and just flirt with every three legged creature on the scene. It's foolproof, trust me.

    Get to know people before you let them know you like them, you might find out theyre weird/unsuitable. Elementry advise but the amout of people who dont heed it...

    Or, in my case, go out with them straight away.

    Realise the weirdness/unsuitability after a month or so, and then work on wrecking the relationship because you're too gutless to actually dump them.

    Yeah, I reckon it's a more common characteristic of the 'fairer' sex tbh.

    I've even been in the unenviable situation of being in a relationship where neither of us wanted to go out wit the other anymore, but both of us were too chicken to do anything about it other than make the other's life a misery.

    A fine time that was, I can tell ya...

    eh, I was going out with a 21yr old when I was 16, was looking for an excuse to dump him for ages but I couldn't do it cuz I knew how much he liked me and I didn't want to hurt him so much... mam found out wasn't impressed and I had to do it then...

    At least that gave ya a good excuse then.

    Instead of: I just can't stand ya anymore

    it was; My mam doesn't approve of the age-gap etc.

    Musta made it easier on ya (and him, probably)

    much on me, but he went into hiding for over a month and wouldn't talk to anyone, and completely gave up drugs and tried to change himself so my mam would accept and approve of him...
