I believe the drop down categories thing may be a browser issue - what version are you using?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,579 ✭✭✭Webmonkey

hehe... In my Firefox Tab the title of the front page looks like it says Ireland's Largest Bull
    Almost same here man!

Heh, just reported this via the Help Desk (thought that was the proper way these days), same problem, Firefox 1.0.4..

Looks like one of those domain-parking sites.
The old, old www.boards.ie/new from last year was soo much better.

    Agreed.

No problems here, although the only ad that's coming up is the google ad.

    XP Pro SP1, FF 1.0.4

    Opera
    Version information
    Version 8.01
    Build 7642
    Platform Win32
    System Windows 2000

edit : but as I said, was working fine same system this morning.

Looks fine in Camino, Safari and Firefox, all latest versions.

Cloud, would there be a possibility og personalised home pages / template based?

One slight prob, is when i block all boards.ie images(i like to surf ultra minimal) there is a huge gap between the drop downs and the recent posts

    My problem i guess http://members.boards.ie/bazh/noimages.jpg

The dropdown menus aren't working for me anymore cloud.

"boards.ie" and "Subbed" are working, the rest aren't.

    Mozilla 1.7.2
    (System=Fedora Core 2)

    Nice job otherwise..

Are the drop down menus not working for anyone else today. Only one working for me is the Subbed menu. I'm using Firefox 1.0.4.

Or is it one of those cache problems again on my end?

  • Registered Users Posts: 375 ✭✭Board@Work

    Wow what a change..

    Excellent.. Well done guys

  • Registered Users Posts: 68,317 ✭✭✭✭seamus

The problem with the menu is:
    Error: ai is not defined
    Source File: http://www.boards.ie/javascript/dhtmlmenu.js
    Line: 36

    D'oh! Damn that case-sensitivity.

    :)

Nice. I had to check the date on the posts though. I thought I'd gone back to 1998 for a second. Not that that would be a bad thing mind you.

Merging the threads there gave me a fright when I clicked new reply link in the notification email - thought boards was falling apart for a second there.

New front page is looking good by the way.

I think the space is not being economised, why are there two sections for blogs?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,709 ✭✭✭StupidLikeAFox
