i bought a nokia 2100 from england with no sim in it ,i put an irish chip on it and it says insert sim card ,it is unlocked to work on any network as it came up network not restricted ,so is there anything else i can do or have i wasted my money buying it.tried 02 aswell the same happens,thought it would work over here…

I don't mean to sound smart or anything but are you putting the sim card in the right direction?

If it keeps coming up saying "insert sim card" well then that means that the sim card isn't in correctly or that the phone is broken.

Did you buy it from ebay?
