Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Here is the price of a new stick

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=303331&cks=PRL

I am guessing knock 30-40% of that for 2nd hand.

Dell say "256 MB DDR SDRAM (400 MHz) standard, upgradeable to 2GB maximum DDR RAM configurations include options of 256MB, 512MB, 768MB, 1024MB, 1536 MB and 2048MB

    Two user accessible SoDIMM sockets

Supports Dual Channel memory. In order to get dual channel memory bandwidth capability, both the slots must contain memory modules and they must be of the same size and configuration"

    Info below

I have a dell 9300. Pretty much the same as a 6000 just bigger.

I have one 512mb dim. Want to get another 1gb dim for the empty slot from www.pc-memory-upgrade.co.uk (free p&p to ireland or collect from celbridge)

Is this configutation any good or to get the best out of the memory do I have to match my dimms?

I was under some silly impression that Dell Laptops would only work with Dell Memory ? That used to be the case with their desktops a few years ago...
    Has that changed ?

Have used memory from crucialmemory in Dell laptops for over 5 yrs without an issue. You just need to be aware of speed / CAS/ DDR /upper limit, difference between different types of sodimm.

    http://www.crucial.com/eu/
Crucial has a guide that'll recommend a matching type of memory for a particular laptop, then you can choose to shop elsewhere if you want.
