USB to IRDA thingy

I just got one of these and was wondering if there's any good, and by good I of course mean free, software that will allow me to backup my phone book, download ringtones etc? Thanks for any help.

If you have a Nokia phone, you can grab their PC Suite for free from their website. Make sure you find your phone in the gallery, then look for software in the product support page, like this.

EDIT: I don't know about other software for other phones.
