I have been with Eircom Broadband for the last 9 months,2 of which were a free trial.
I enabled the free trial by ringing them up and no contract was signed.
BT seem to have a gr8 bundle offer at the moment .
Am I trapped for another 5 months with the service or is there a viable ,cheap way out ?

other than paying out the contract or the penalty associated with breaking the contract - nop.

if you order something with your account number it's deemed an acceptance of contract.

Been legal precedent already in eircom's favour - sorry

Well if your on the 2Mbit version of eircom BB then there is more than a little differerence in the price:

    Eircom 2Mbit Broadband(BB+Line Rental):
    €54.45+€24 = ~€78

BT 2Mbit Broadband(BB+Line Rental, Normal Price After Special Offer):
    €50

Basically eircom 2Mbit BB is 50% more expensive with 66% the CAP!!!

    I'm on the 1Mb service.
    It will cost me 24*5 - 50 connection fee =70 euro .
Thats not going to break the bank.
