I've been reading some old J.P. Dunleavy novels and it's got me thinking how nice it would be to get out of the city and into the countryside and go hunting for my dinner...rabbits, hares, pheasants, deer, etc etc....anything edible that doesn't befowl the digestive system.

However, a city slicker like myself would not have the first idea on how to go about with the acquisition of firearms and permits for such a fine and noble outing, or who indeed to contact to undertake the careful and experienced supervision of said venture.

I'd be grateful to hear from anyone with any information.
