Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Triple H - A genius

You know for a minute he had me. I was sure Triple H would win back the World Title at Backlash, but he put Batista over. When he returned after like a week away and set up a HITC match, I was sure he would win back the World Title, yet he put Batista over.

I thought to myself "Perhaps he has changed", "perhaps he's decided to no longer hog the spotlight"? How wrong I was!

This man is a genius! Don't you see? He put over Batista a total of three times (thus shutting up those internet smarks who accused him of not putting people over enough) and yet it is BATISTA that has been sent to the show with the lower ratings than Raw! So while Batista is on Smackdown, Triple H is on Raw preparing to make Cena look bad so he can take his WWE title belt and once more dominate Raw! Triple H is a genius!

Don't you see? Batista may have won the battles but Triple H has won the war!

Or else, the now very strong looking monster that is Batista has been sent to SD in order to help it from its current rut?

From another view point, a JBL/Batista feud has been hinted at since NWO, it also opens up alot of new doors for him. Who is there left on Raw for him to have an interesting feud with? Possibly newly heel turned Jericho, Angle, but apart from that, he had nothing there, as he fought, and squahed most before he ascended to the WHC.

Now look at the doors opened on SD. He can get it on with Orton (remember they have a history), JBL, Eddie Guerrero among others. New doors have opened.

As for HHH, while I wouldnt be shocked to see him going straight into a feud with Cena, I actually think it'll be Edge who he will face at SummerSlam (Edge using his Money In The Bank). There is no Raw only ppv in the meantime, so there is plenty time for the feud to gather momentum.

If you look at it, no-one has a feud per sé at the moment, and next weeks Raw and Smackdown will shape alot.

I actually think we could see another heel Vs heel feud between Hunter and Angle, leading to Angle taking the title from Cena at Survivor Series.

Then again, I dont think I have ever been right in predicting a storyline, so why start now.

Spoiler tags would have been nice!

Spoilers would indeed be nice Fozzy, but maybe Mr. NG presumed everyone knows the results of the draft, Thanks to Maxtrax's "Exclusive, inside scoop" information yesterday (eat your heart out, Bill Apter)

But I totally agree with you, Nice Guy.

Believe me I would love to not start another conspiracy theory about the HHH, but it really does all fit into place.

How do you refresh your status at the top of the title picture, without it seeming like you're just regaining the belt you've basically had 90 per cent of the last three years?

Why, change the belt of course! Simple.

Plus, instead of using two of your close buddies (Batista and Orton) as Cannon fodder in your plan, swap them for that smart a*s punk you don’t get along with. Everyone’s calling him the new Franchise, so let’s bring him down a peg or two.

    As you say, Genius.

Believe me, I’d love to be wrong. I'd love to see Cena and Y2J as the main event for Summerslam, or Cena/Angle or even Edge finally using his money in the bank match against Cena, or even Cena/HBK.

And short term over the next few months, these matches might happen.
But long term, it's still all about the Game.

I'm not a HHH fanboy by any means but I think people are jumping the gun a bit here by accusing Hunter of being an selfish genius by getting himself fresh talent to go over by getting rid of Batista and bringing in Cena.

He has done a hell of a lot in my opinion for Batista, he's elevated him to levels none of us thought he'd get to only 2 or 3 months ago. He let Dave beat him in his trademark gimmick match for gods sake, thats something no one saw (except me  ).

But because he's done this unselfish act (to a degree, I do realise he's been in the main event of most PPV etc) for Batista, people are now twisting his motives calling and him an selfish genius.

In my opinion some people are just looking for further ridiculous ways to bash the guy because he suprised us and done something good, "so lets all twist his motives and still make him out to be an a55hole".

C'mon, give the guy a break, he's done something good for once for the fans!

C'mon, give the guy a break, he's done something good for once for the fans!

How's that? By sending the guy he we believed he was putting over to the inferior brand? He put Benoit over before at WM20, but where is he now? On Smackdown as well! Triple H has the power to write his own legacy in WWE. Who is to say a year from now he won't be beating Batista regularly?

On Byte This recently, a fan asked him if he would stop gunning for the title if he equalled Flair's 16 wins. He replied that Flair would want him to continue as Flair appreciates competition. Gimme a break.

The guy has complete and total power and can make or break guys in the company. As D-Fens said, he will target Cena sooner or later and take him down a peg or two. It's all about the Game...

Haha, it's some other film he's doing, a WWE one, due to be out in 2007, I think. For some reason I'm thinking he's some sort of cowboy in it..

Cena's film should be coming out soon, so I don't think HHH will be going over him while they're doing promotion for that. Obviously though, he will be at some stage

There's too many top guys on Raw now. I'm pissed off that Jericho and Christian are on different shows now too. I bet HHH made Christian go to SD, because he was the only Raw guy who had a feud going with Cena!

He's done something good by not taking the title back when most people thought he would. It keep the whole scene fresh and we should all be thanking the lord that the WWE haven't reverted back to HHH with the belt after being 3 months without it.

When I heard thundercats I thought of this program from when I was younger. Would have loved to have seen Triple H dressed up with a tail and pointy ears. Oh well....

Haha, I was thinking to myself right after I posted it if I should have made clear which!

I had a scary thought there..when Triple H is Flair's age, and more than likely running WWE, will he still be pushing himself as champ?

    From NoDQ.com:
Finally, in something I find really interesting (and I'm sure you will too), WWE.com's title history website has put the WWE Championship above the World Championship on the title list, and, to make things even more interesting, the history of the World Championship has been changed. Previously, it had the entire history of the WCW title (and the WWE World Title version with Angle, Booker T, Jericho and the Rock) and all the title holders prior to the unification by Jericho. Now, it begins with Triple H's first title run, when he was handed the title in September of 2002, and continues from there. I guess now that the WWE title is on Raw, it's the Premier Wrestling Championship while the World Title has lost all of its previous prestige. Very interesting.

Now read that and tell me with a straight face that this doesn't have something to do with Triple H
