Is G-E-Y a bad word ?

    Perhaps this has been flogged before, but I was
    just wondering why g.e.y is censord as being a bad word ? whats worse, it tends to crop up
    quite a bit in the middle of other words.

    Some I can think of off hand....

    ***ser
    fo***
    mun***
    oran***
    pun***

    ooh oops... they've been censord.. wink.gif

    So I'm standing at the bus stop minding my own business. Two women walk past. I hear a snippet of their conversation ... "like he is sooooo gay ..." - it takes me a full 15 seconds to realise they were not being inappropriate with regard to some camper on Aztec. smile.gif

    'twas a crowded street - they didn't see me - they were talking about someone who wasn't there (I presume an acquaintance of theirs)
