Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looks like all the talk about a transfer cap of £25 million at OT was a load of tabloid crap, as usual. The Glazers have said that althought there is no bottomless pit transfer business will continue at Man United as it always has.
I guess the bad news is that that means Fergie will sign 3 ****e players and one class player :D

Has anybody considered that maybe this was said to get some of the angry fans off the Glazers backs?

    Seems pretty obvious to me

Agree 100%, otherwise where's the money coming from? Fergies going to have to be smart in the transfer market over the next few years me thinks.

wasnt it announced to the stock market that there would be a cap on spending

Well in fariness Wenger has assembled a great team without breaking the bank. Maybe having to be smarter in the Transfer market will lead Fergie to improve on his talent spotting and also by sending out the signal that United will not be spening big maybe clubs will stop holding out for big money whne United want a player. Or of course maybe not.

Fergie has always done better on the market when he doesn't have big money to spend.
Man United's transfer budget is pretty much the same as it was, its just this time its an announced budget, and exceptions will be made just like they have in the past for tremendous talent, like rooney.

The fans who are angry at the takeover cannot be sated, they believe Bobby Robson Fergie and Gill to be traitors to the cause and there is no chance of convincing them otherwise. There is at most, at most, 500 dedicated anti-Glazierites, and after that the rest are just following, but once we start winning a couple of matches nobody will care
