I hope someone can help me out. I have a nose stud with the last 2 years, but it has a slight discolouration around it that I can't seem to get rid of. Like if you have cheap jewelery and it leaves a mark.

I think it might be that I should only use silver studs, but I am using sterling sliver. Does that make a difference? Or it may just be that I need to use a special cleaning solution. I've always just used boiled salt water.

It's wierd because I have my belly pierced too and I never had this problem. Does anybody have any suggestions??

Try change yor stud for surgical steel and that should clear it up

my nose stud slightly discoloured around the edges too,it was surgical steel, it was from the salt and water and just basically, being worn so much ( i used always wear the same stud before i changed to a ring)
but it was a dark blue one, if you get a silve surgical steel one, it should do the trick!

Yeah, that's probably it. I'll give the surgical steel ones a try. Thanks.

Heard about titanium as well. Would they be good too? Think I'll have to avoid the cheapo stands in Dublin from now on!

    yeah avoid cheap stands!!
titianium is good, i like it, but some people can be alergic to it, so that's why surgical steel is used a lot more....
