I wanted to signup for some webspace here on boards but when i went to do so i got:

P.S. Is it the dot? If so what do I do?

Probably the full stop ("dot") in your name is causing the problem - it isn't being recognised as a text character, but as a html function.

What??? I'd love to know what you mean Victor... HTML doesn't have "functions". It's not a programming language.

I'd say it's the "dot" too- but that's got nothing to do with HTML...

it's the dot. i couldn't have the '-' in smoke-me-a-kipper. i had to settle for smoke_me_a_kipper. it doesn't matter. you can still have MrApplepie and have it under your avatar. its just certain characters arn't allowed.
