Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Isn't the Luas site now maintained by Connex?

Nice us of the 45 and 60/30 on that Dublin Bus map.

Connex run the service, the luas.ie site is there responsibility and it does to be fair list all the buses connecting at each stop. The RPA is really the custodian of the system

The current Iarnrod Eireann timetable refers only to the Heuston Connolly link but shows all services at each station inlcuding Luas, 90 bus and Airport bus which is an improvement

We will have to wait for the Transport For Dublin outfit to bring sense, proper ticketing zonal fares and maps independence is the key to getting it right

It is time for the multi-agency messing to stop, any journey in the Greater Dublin Area should be possible on one ticket like it is in most European Cities. It is time for both semi-state bodies to get their act together even if connex are independent of government they have nothing to gain or lose by not integrating as they are paid to operate the system no more or less than cash transit companies are paid to ensure that ATMs have money.

It will be interesting to see if something as simple as a co-ordination system can be delivered in 18 months or is it simply more bluster?

I feel its wrong to say CIE V's RPA. It should be CIE V's Connex.

CIE might feel that Connex should pay for any update maps etc as CIE gets no extra money from the government for it so why should they pay to advertise a different company (sad but thats my guess).

BTW, the RPA do nothing and should be scrapped altogether. If the state needs a agency to build and design a new line, why cant Irish Rail do that job. The have far more experience than the RPA and have their own inhouse engineers and consultants, so projects should be cheaper that if it was done by the RPA (which isnt that difficult). It doesnt mean that Irish Rail will run it. It still can be run by a private company. It was save the state a fortune.
