Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Depeche is back !

    ... although they were never really gone.

    I am actually quite happy that Depeche are touring together again and I can´t wait for the new record. I purchased both Dave´s and Martins solo albums last year and I have to say that imho Martins was much better than Daves.

    I already have tickets for their show in Portugal and for another show in the UK. How come they dont bother to come to Dublin?!

    Anyway, Exciter (2001) wasn´t brilliant although it had some highlights. Ultra is cool and Violator and songs of faith ... anyway.

    In retrospect I didnt like their early stuff after Vince Clarks departure.

    Clarkes projects Yazoo and the Assembly were brilliant and he had some pretty good and decent hits with Erasure and yet I think if he would have stayed Depeche wouldnt have stayed on top because Clarkes songs are pretty retro musically.

    What is your favourite Depeche Mode album or period?

    I would presume Violator is the majority of people's favourite album by them as it is mine.
