    It's madness to buy a 4800+ !

    I just found out that I'm in the money so I'm weighin up a nice upgrade for my rig or a 30" LCD TV...... Decision decisions.

    2 Gigs of RAM and a 4200+ would be very tasty..... Oh god the temptation on this board!

    dual-core will be for those who will be multi-tasking if its gaming you want you cant go wrong at the new price's ..

    Theres a 30" LCD on komplett for 900 euro so it's not that bad a deal really.... I just looked at the prices and 560 euro for the cheapest X2 !!! From my cold dead hands !

    I wonder if the next FX model (ie. not the latest but whatever comes after that, the FX59 or whatever they will call it) will be dual or single core. Since Athlon64 is the chip of choice in most serious gaming rigs now, won't it be harder for them to justify a move to dual core to these users if their best gaming chip is still single core?

    I'd say that the FX chips will stay single core. Single core will be the undeniable king of high end gaming for another year at least. Untill all the studios get the fingers out and start multi-threading the game engines anyway :)
