Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Every home game, have season ticket see about 10 away games a season. On occasion have seen every game home and away sadly damn kids mean away games are few and far between.

Every fan should have a season ticket really and use it.

Every home game (season ticket), and any away game I can make it to usually.

You say travel, so I'm presuming you mean Premiership team? In that case, I'm a Villa fan, but ain't been over in years - and don't plan on going anytime soon. I get much more enjoyment from going to Shels games.

have a season ticket at old trafford but living in ireland the cost of travel, hotel and of course a few drinks makes it hard,if i get to half the home games and a few FA cup games i am happy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,483 ✭✭✭Töpher

    Hehe, ;)

Winning or not, nothing beats the atmosphere, and excitement, eh? :D And hell, Shels have been putting in some excellent second halves this year, just a pity about the 2 goal headstarts we're giving the opposition int he first 45! :(:)

i get over to see my team (Liverpool) about once a month although towards the end of last season my bank balance took a hammering with champions league games coming thick and fast!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,056 ✭✭✭applehunter

I go to Turners Cross every fortnight. I dont know why I don't buy a season ticket. Probably cause Im just finished college.

I was in Manchester United around 5 years ago and was in Anfield last year. I support Liverpool but that was the only time I have seen them play live.

Turners Cross is cheaper and more fun anyways. :)

Season ticket holder at Tolka Park and White Hart Lane.

I've only made two Shels fixtures throught a combination of being out of the country or work, but should be able to make most of the remaining home games.

Hope to make at least 10 home ties at WHL, and a couple of away ties (depending on dates/times). Trying to keep costs down, so overnights are not a preferred option).

Every home game at Celtic Park, about 7 or 8 away games in Scotland and about 2 European away games. Season ticket holder at Celtic Park for the last 11 years.

You cannot beat going to see football - much better than watching it on the box!

Get to about 15-16 home games at anfield, looking forward to the TNS game, incredibly it is sold out already.

I go to whatever home games work allows, about 75%, same for away games.

Sometimes twice a week, sometimes the same team twice a week, like next week, we have to play St. Pats twice.

50% of Bohs home league games - most cup/Euro games as well. Not many away games unless its in Dublin.

A few cross channel games if at all possible.

I don't know if they are still on sale.

I'll see if I can find out for you though, you might get one a reduced price or something, seeing as the season is nearly half over.

To get one I'd imagine you have to go to Tolka Park.

I've been to three United matches so far this year. Middlesborough in the cup, Birmingham the week after and the Fulham match about a month after. Hoping to get to a few more this year too. Hopefully I'll get at least one big clash in before the year is out.

Best match I've been to was Spurs in 1999 for the title. The atmosphere was unbelievable. And maybe the 4-0 against Liverpool. :)

I go to at least half Shels' home games a season.
Haven't been to Highbury since 2002, last Arsenal match I was at was the 5-1 demolition of Man Citeh in the last game between the two sides at Maine Road.
Oh and I haven't been to see Palace at Selhurst since 1995, last time I saw them was at Highbury in 1998.

I can't afford to go to Highbury or Selhurst, otherwise I would. As for Shels, I do my best to go to as many games as I can but I care a helluva lot more for Palace and Arse.

    *shrugs* What can ya do.

    Ah Stoke City.

One of the teams I look out for, after meeting a fan of theirs in Dublin one night who knew all about Shels.

Fair play for heading over the whole time, are you from Stoke?

edit/ DOH, just read your location :o

Not Originally from here no, but suppose i should have said i am living here which kind of makes it easier to get to matches . I remember the pains of the 35 mins plane , 45 mins train and 10 min bus just to see a football match

I'm a Shelbourne season ticket holder, go to all home matches (league, European, Setanta, FAI, eL cup). I go to all away matches in Dublin but the only true away matches I've been to this season have been trips to Longford and Portadown. Hopefully I'll be able to travel to more away games later on in the season. Going up to Belfast to see the Glentoran match next week which shall be good and its only costing 25 euro for ticket and bus. Shelbourne are excellent for great prices and value for their fans.

    Ditto

I've been over to Old Trafford 3 times & only because my old boss let me use his Season Tickets!

I would dearly love to go over more often, but money constraints really put a damper on my attempts!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,641 ✭✭✭andyman

My dad buys my tickets so it works for me just fine.

My dad also got a huge present for his birthday that lets me, him and a few of his friends go to any Man U match he wants(Don't ask me how!!) so I'm hoping for Chelsea.
