Just wondering if anyone has advice on mortar mix for blocklaying. From what Ive read its 1:6 cement:sand in some places and 1:4 in others. Should I use a plasticiser?... I did it as a young lad years ago with my dad, but damned if I can remember the mix. Cheers Dave

You buy in bags these days ready mixed , only found that out few weeks ago when building a wall.

Handy but takes the fun out of making the little mountain and trying to keep the water in.
