UTV Cancellation

A number of months back, I was up to my 12 months with UTV Clicksilver and decided that I'd move. Now having experienced their support I reckoned an email might do the trick. As expected I got that usual "we are up to our eyes in emails" reply.

In the meantime I went off in search of a new provider. I assumed naively that UTV would notify me, give me a date, thank you for you custom etc. All very sensible things you'd associate with a service.

Then one day out of the blue , I got an email from UTV to tell me my account had been deactivated  as in no BB. Just like that.

Not being too put out, I notified the new provider. No problem they said, 10 working days max. Four days days later they rang back telling me that Eircom could not release the line as they hadn't received a cancellation number.
So it was off into the UTV merrygoround they call "support". 35 minutes later, I got a number. 3 week after disconnection I had BB back again.

Anyway the moral of the story is make sure that you get a disconnection number out of them and get yourself a new BB provider instantly.

Demand the cancellation number from UTV.

In the UK it is referred to as a MAC.

Without it you cant move providers!

As we hear little about netsource could you answer a couple of questions?

    Are they strict on CAP's???

Which package are you on and how would you rate them?

They do business products. Not aware of any standard pacakge they do.

From what I hear they choke people who go over monthly limits.

Origin. I can't comment on them as it has only been a few weeks. So far it's been OK.

I am sure that would keep people from abusing the service! :D

*knock knock* "Hello, who is there?"
"Its Netsource sir, we have come to speak to you about your limits"
    *door opens*
"Oh, ok what seems to be the probl...aaaaaack *gag* cant breathe... aaaack"

    Sometimes I crack myself up.
