Im not sure if im allowed to mention the name of the store in question but its the large book shop upstairs in the Dun Laoghaire shopping centre.

In the fiction section all most of the Dan Brown books are €8.99 but there is a "Special offer" table where the books are 3 for 2 and here the Dan Brown books are individually priced at €10.50.

Now when I say that most of the ones in the fiction section are €8.99 the ones with the 3 for 2 stickers are still €10.50

    WHAT A RIP OFFFFFFFFFFFF!

Of course you can mention names - defeats the purpose of the post if you don't mention the name.

Not really a rip off as such. If you buy the 3 booksseparately you pay €26.97 but if you buy them as part of the deal they are €21, saving you €5.97. Whichever way you look at it or they price it, you still save €6.

Loads of companies do this. Virgin for instance sell a lot of dvds for €14.99, then do a 2 for €30 offer where the individual price on the dvd is €30.99 or €29.99 but in the normal rack the price is still the same.

If you have a problem with it, write/speak to the management. It's the only way to voice your concerns.
