DIE SPAMER DIE ! - BTW: anyone got any links for good GNU educational software ?

This software package is distributed as shareware try-before-you-buy software. The program may be used free for an evaluation period of 30 days. Any further use will require a license obtained through the registration procedure. All types of licenses have no expiry date. They entitle the holder to the future upgrades of the Cell Division Program, as long as it stays within its present tasks.

    License type Price Description
Single-user license $280.00 Single-user license grants Licensee the right to install and use the software on a single machine.

    Gnu Educational s/w?
    For kids?

    Tried gcompris? Mostly preschool level
    http://www.ofset.org/gcompris/
Note that you need to run the games after deployment as it links to a few external apps like gnuchess.

Bottom of that page mentions http://edu.kde.org/ but havn't tried that.
No packages that I see to target specific areas, say maths 7-9.

    Try Freeduc - http://www.ofset.org/freeduc-cd/

It's a version of knoppix arranged for education

I remember trying it out a coupla years back and I showed it to my mother who is a primary school teacher - she was very impressed. That may be of interest?

    Take care,
    P.B.
