Em, yes, sometimes it will grow out if your body rejects it, or if it's pierced too shallowly.

Because I am absolutly raging because the bitch that pierced mine done it wrong.
1st off, it isnt straight, slants to the left.
2nd off, It isnt actually "a navel piercing" it looks to be too far up.
3rd off when she pierced it she never gave me the solution to wash it with, because she had "none left".
Ive had NOTHING but trouble with it since I got it done.

and that's why you should always go to a decent piercer, my dear....

you can't blame her not having solution left though...i don't know whether you looked after it yourself anyway...but cos she had no solution left, isn't an excuse of a bad piercing and not looking after it...

when where'd you get it done anyway?
how lonf did it take for it to reject?

I got it done in Tullamore.
She was *supposed* to be a decent piercer.
She should have the solution left..... She was paid 65 yoyos so she should have had enough in place.
I did look after it and it healed for a while then it got really sore, at the moment i cant even bend how and it hurts talking/sitting/walking.
Going mad.

well...sounds like you should of kept looking after it...not just 'for a while'...I'm not saying it wouldn't of rejected, but piercings aren't suppose to be 'looked after for a while'...if the irratation from it doesn't clear up maybe you should go to a doctor..

No read that again.

I did look after it and it healed for a while

I am still washing it twice daily with sea salt and boiled water.
I was using savlon but it just irritated it.
I was at the doctors and she told me to wash it once a day, just before bed, and put Cicatrin power on it.
She wants to see me next monday again.
She also asked about a piercer.
Scared me when she asked if i was sure that the girl used a clean needle.
Nearly freaked.

They grow out?! Jeebus i've had mine neary 7 years....
anyway,if its infected it generally isn't the piercers fault,those solutions you get are generally a rip off. Salt + boiled water is the best cleaning solution.
Navel generally just gets infected 'cos of its position (bending/clothing/sweat = alot of cleaning to be done)
but if its that badly done and crooked you should have taken it out straight away

Thats the thang!
The doctor doesnt think it is infected, she is just concerned that it so red.
She told me that she saw it like that after the first few days not nearly 11 months later.

is the jewellery irritatating it maybe?. or was it slightly ripped by clothing?
i strectched mine slightly because i found the ring to be too thin.

was caught agaes ago last dec/jan i think, but it never healed.
but it isnt straight.
its all going to the left.
and its above my navel..

I'd just take it out if i was you, i know it was alot of money and pain to go through. But give it a few months and get it done again properly if ya want it that much. Plus they do generally rest slightly (very slightly)to one side (just because if clothes and the way they heal really)
and tell the world how **** the piercer was

If the doctor says it's not infected then it IS rejecting. The piercing should start IN your navel and exit just above your navel. If it's pierced above your navel, it's been done completely wrong and it is not going to heal.

Take it out, wait 6 months and get it re-pierced if you want.

The same thing happened me a few years ago in Metal Morphosis - a dodgy kip of a place in Dublin. Snakebite told me to take it out and they re-pierced it later, and I still have it now, 4 years later.

just take it out, i'd say...I know you might want to try and heal it once and for all, but if it's rejecting you can't stop it...your best off to take it out, before it pushes out, cos you'll be left with a nasty scar otherwise....and chances are if you get it done again after it fejecting, it will just reject again, cos of scar tissue...
best to take it out, let it heal over and get it done by a proper piercer next time...

if you really don''t want to take it out though, i think you should find a decent piercer where you are and ask their advice...

You can tell if its growing out by watching your jewelery and see if there's more showing above the skin then there was. If you can post a pic go for it.

the skin is getting shorter..

seriously, go to a piercer....it might even be jewellery irratation...dont go back to the same one...where are you living??surely theres a good piercer around your way!!

its hard for us to tell you what exactly is wrong with it, or if its growing out, without seeing it exactly how it is now..
