Not the best quaility pics, In the first one the jewelry looks too tight but thats probably cos its swollen? Not too sure about the other one can't really see it. Personally i'd put that piercing in the wasn't meant to be pile take it out wait til its all healed up then get it done again.

my first thoughts where to leave it in incase it was infected.. try and get it cleard up first but it just doesnt seem to want to clear up.. this is going back as far as feb... i think

If its going back as far as feb definitely take it out. See surface piercings can be really hard to heal and if infection sets in it can be really hard to get rid of while the wound is still open.

    Dont worry so much pet!

Navel is one of the worst places to get pierced as it is an awkward place and it DOES take ages to heal.

I have mine a year and a half now, and it's only been healed properly the past 2-3 months.
I got a lot of troubles with it as well.
So try not to pick at it too much as go with the flow. In a few months you'll have a lovely and neat jewellery hanging from your tummy

    :)

My mum made me go to a piercer in portlaoise, told me she ****ed it up and that it will leave a scar anyway =(
So hes getting me iodine to puit on it and stuff in a white bottle to try and sort it out, then he will remove it and when its better he told me that hell repierce it properly for me.
    He was hawtt!!
He said that i was lucky i didnt end up in hospital and he said that it is like it was just after being pierced.
So looks like its sorted at the moment.

    good luck with it...
you can get scar treatment creams anyway, don't know hoe effective they are though...
it lookes to me, like it wasn't draining properly, but at least you got it sorted now...

What are you on? If you have an infection and take the jewellery out, the holes will heal and seal in the infection.

It looks more like a keloid or an allergy to the metal in the ball of the navel bar.

    Whats a keloid??

Over production of scar tissue. Common on cartilidge piercings

hmm...ive gotten me a nasty keloid on a surface piercing under my navel...actually its been diagonsed as everthing and anything...
    a keloid...
a bump from where it was pierced too shallow and is covering the loss of skin...
    the piercing is rejecting...
I've had it for ages...I myself, think the piercing was pierced tooo shallow, even though it was the lovely paddy o'donogue who did it...I'vm trying to heal it up now a bit before i take it out, so i'm not left with the nasty bump...!then i'll get it repierced...
it's sad....it'll be my first piercing out of 25 that i'll have ever taken out and let close up!!
