Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

yeah, podcasting was something I wanted to get into but never could figure out what progammes were best etc.
I got the latest itunes and within seconds I had a couple of subscriptions etc. and was away. I don't even have to transfer them to my ipod manually!

by the way, is the podcast chart just for the iTunes music store in Ireland? might explain why Live Ireland is up there.

edit: when you have a podcast up on itunes, or any podcast feed for that matter, is there any way of knowing how many listeners/subscribers you have? Just out of curiosity.

I know it's probably been explained before but can someone explain to me what podcasting does with iTunes?

You subscribe to something (free is it?) and then, using iTunes, you can upload the radio shows or whatever to your iPod and listen to them normally on the go?

I have an iPod and want to get into this podcasting malarky

    pretty much.
You can subscribe to a podcast in the itunes store (they're all free at the moment). Once you do, itunes will download the latest version and give you the option to download previous issues too. You can set itunes to check for a new release at whatever set interval you like (a day, a week, a month). Then you can listen away. You can set your ipod so it automatically takes any updates itunes has downloaded and put them onto your ipod.
Do you have the latest itunes and ipod update? If you do you'll know the new podcast category in iTunes and the new podcast menu on your ipod.
