Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm actually working on a page of the history of boards.ie because we have so many new users who dont know us or where we come from and may not have the "disfunctional family" feeling about the place.
In answer to your question:
DeVore, Regi, Vexorg, Tr1n1ty and Cloud own the domain boards.ie (its held by Boards Ltd and is the companies only asset, its a libel avoiding method).
In reality lets look at what we really *own*.
We own a domain, a server, and some software.
There are 4500 relatively likeminded people here, which is really what most people mean when they say boards.ie, but we dont own them.
In reality we own very little I guess, if the goodwill we think we have went away and we did something really terrible, it probably wouldnt take much to replicate boards.ie. So we have to play to the audience so to speak.
Isnt the internet great, you get to vote with your mouse
Now, metaphysics aside and leaving out that we are all the one same cosmos, exactly what do you mean when when you say "owns boards.ie"?
Also, why do you ask (out of curiousity).

A lot of the "Registered: " users are originally quake players ... hence the size of the quake board when it's a wee bit quiet lately
We used to live on www.quake.ie/wwwboard/ , weber.ucg.ie amongst other places.
Tom, how many of those 4500 accounts are bubbles and how many are active? Just curious!

Cloud used to own it all, but Evil Devore tried to set up his own Spinsol boards but they sucked.
So instead Evil Devore fought Cloud in mortal combat and won (Cloud couldn't pull off the "Fiery Phoenix" move) and they both had a kid called Q and Evil Devore became Good Devore (who would never ban people who made fun of him or said his old board sucked) and they all lived happly ever after.
