Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any way, you could make everyone give positive and negative karma, say 5 points of negative karma from normal users comes across as -1 at the bottom of the post, and -1 from moderator is also -1?
And maybe make it so each normal user can only give 2(?) karma points a day?

yes there is, theres a hack called rateing
were you have 5 stars under you name and other member decide how many stars they will give you,
but its abused and is buggy as hell on most boards

Not to mention that you'd have about -83 trillion karma by now if regular users could give it Gladiator.

But then you'd get muppets totally abusing it, giving all the negative karma points they can each day to one mod/person they dont like...Maybe if you had to be registered for a certain amount of time before you could give out karma, and then maybe only something like one point per week? Only way i can see anything like it happening.

that's only cause u'd be on a huge amount of negative karma rich for the amount of spamming you do

idea for a "How to use Boards.ie" classes?

    1) use the edit button when needed

    2) having a large amount of posts, but only registered a year, makes you look BAD not good

    3) make a point now and then

    4) you DON'T need to point out the obvious, other people have brains also

    and so on...

(all those could apply to gladiator, rich, SMAK, gladiator)
