Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Windows Media Player & Firewall

    Hi All,

I have Windows Media Player 10, which used to work fine....until I added a Linksys wireless G router. Now, when I click on a URL with a .wmv file at the end, I get a "The page cannot be displayed" error, though I can copy/ paste URL into WMP & play it no prob.

I'm assuming it has to do with the router firewall, but I can't figure out what needs changing.

    Any help apppreciated.

    SH

If you right click on the .wmv file and select Save target as. Does it let you save the file to the HD?

Try turning off the firewall on the Linksys router and see if it works. If so then it may be port blocking.

I am not sure which port it will use, but maybe leave the hardware firewall off just use the on on the PC.
