o2 voicemail problem

It's my dad's phone- a Nokia 3310. Anyway, the voicemail is set-up with a greeting, password etc. But anyone who rings the phone- it just rings out and won't access voicemail. The 02 helpline just confirmed that his voicemail is not working preperly.. Any ideas?

Eh... surely it's the o2 helpdesk's job to sort it out rather than just say 'yeah it's not working, b-bye now'?

just contact 1909 and they will help you. i had the same problem and they just gave me a code to put itto the fone and it activated it properly.
