Má táim fíor, fuair mé C1 san Árd Leibhéal i nGaeilge san Áirdteisteaméarach, i 1994.

    --

If I'm correct (if I recall corretly), I got a C1 in higher level Irish in the Leaving Cert in 1994.

C2 in ordinary level this year. Which utterly astounded me, since i left both exams (paper 1 and 2) after 40 minutes with no effort whatsoever put into the subject.

B1 in ordinary level......somethings not right.

That was good...in the Orals the examiner kept looking at me funny, but she was sound out. She even turned off the tape when I was stuck on one word and ended up telling me it. biggrin.gif

Also, try the Gaeilge-B listserv and you'll probably find some learners close to where you live:

Sprite, you should go to "Daltaí na Gaeilge". It's an irish tuition website which is based in the US and they organise classes and activities in irish in the US. A lot more comprehensive than us just listing off some phrases for you.

Does no one else find it ironic that there are people in the US who would love to speak Irish when people here do nothing but moan about it?

Good for you S_P_R_I_T_E!!! Go n-éirí leat. :)
