Question about the Zen Mirco

    I just picked one up today, and I love it, but I have one question.

    Whenever I begin to play a song, for about the first four or five seconds there's a quiet but noticable high-pitched squealing sound in the background. For the rest of the song, though, all I hear is the music. Does anybody else have this problem?

    Nope thats definitely a defective unit. Creative's customer support is class so there is no problem.

    First of all try to reformat the unit and install latest firmware and try again. If that doesnt work then all you have to do is ring them up on 01 4380055 tell them what the problem is, they will take your address and all you have to do is post your faulty micro to them and they will send you a new one by courier.

    Dont put up with that sound as its an excellent piece of kit when its working.

    Nice. Thanks a lot! I just bought it today, so I think that I'll just bring it back to the store. (They're really good with exchanges there). That way I'll have a new one right away!
