Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think he means can he run a 56k dial-up service through a wireless modem; in which case the answer is no.

The modem acts as the bridge between the connection and the browser, and if it's not being used then there's no dialling-up, therefore no internet.

You wont get broadband speeds, if thats what you mean. No way I know of to make a lousy 56k modem faster, and if there was I would probably know since I am still stuck with one.

You can presumably share a 56k connection wirelessly (I do it over a wired network with computers running XP and linux, Internet connection sharing on XP works well), but unless there are routers out there with modems built in (Did Aldi sell something recently?) you will need to use a PC between the router and modem.

If you are asking if you get a dsl modem will it work without subscription. I think the answer will have to be no!

There are old-fashioned ethernet-interface dial-up modems around; you could attach one of those to a wireless access point.
