Any views on Immunix ?

    I don't know much about Immunix at all, but I do regularly see their security bulletins on the likes of BugtraQ.
    It generally seems to fall prey to bugs in other applications bind, ftpd and stuff.

    The way you administer a machine can affect its security more than a secure distro.

    Does Immunix have any additional features to make it immune(lol) to buffer overflows/format string bugs ?

    They use various run time techniques to try and prevent exploits that use stack overflows and format string bugs.
