Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i have a computer acting as a dial up router with a wireless g network card in adhoc mode so i can use the internet wirelessly round the house.

Its no problem when my laptop connects the the network for the 1st time, its when the laptop is turned off and after a while it is turned on again, which would be normal usage, the 2nd time the laptop is turned on the router fails to recognise that the laptop is re-connected and the connection fails, the only way i can get to connect is restarting the router or changing a setting for the wireless card in the device manager, effectively resetting the card, then it acts as normal.

    this is my network card

why not just get a broadband router ??

I would start off with updating the drivers of both nics to begin with.

Those cnet nics are brutal i have had several now all my kit is linksys speedbooster and have no complaints at all.

And also if you have a wireless router you don't need to have your main pc on...
