I was in at this last night. Played fairly badly and finished on the bubble. I must say I like the club, and the tables etc. I also liked the tournament structure, there was lots of room for play. Karlh and Spiritus were also there, any other boardies in at this?

I was at this on Tuesday, I was looking good for a final table place maybe even a payout blinds where at 100/200 sitting there with 5300 in chips was playing well till I made two stupid calls/raises and that was me gone! :(

were you on table 1, seat 5/6 nearest before we broke up?

I think you called my Ac 8c with 9cTc with a flush draw on the board, when I had paired my ace Mr Moon. Was that you?

    :( That was I!

The ace didn't come down till the turn and all the money was in at that stage.

You shouldn't have called my raise! ;)

The Ace was on the flop. I had top pair, and A high flush draw when I called. It was an easy call. Someone at the table even commented it was a dream flop for me.

you didn't want him to, there's a big difference :)

i was only at the table a short time and you seemed to be playing a lot. i'd would probably have played top pair with you to the end too at that stage i think ;)

/edit jaysus, i forgot about the nut flush draw too.

The ace definitely didn't come down till the turn!

I raised with my draw then you raised all in and I called to see you with a bigger draw than me! My only outs where a 10 or a 9 13% then the ace came down on the flop and there was no outs!

I am 99% the A was there when I called the bet. The dream flop comment confirms this. Karl do you remember.

My brother won it last Friday - and he gloatingly texted me the info at 23:53pm! (i've just checked my phone). So, by 11:20pm (when you have to decide whether to take the bus) you should have a fair idea of whether you are going to win or not...

I was thinking about this hand on the way home as you seemed so sure, I think maybe the 1% is correct after all. I had you on the flush draw, and I was pretty shortstacked so I needed to double up. I had the nut flush so I called. I had also seen you play pretty loose for the previous couple of hands hence the call. Sorry about that :D

Loose? Me? Not at all, I'm a rock!

How did you do in the end?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,832 ✭✭✭Waylander

Went out on the bubble. Did not really deserve to hit the money, played some hands badly.

Happy enough with that hand, I put you on the right hand and made the right call, at a time when I needed to double up. Its not my fault you kept leading out with nothing :)
