Entirely possible, if you have an Alcatel Speed Touch Pro/Home, or any other ethernet model for that matter. I just got it working with the Eircom trial according to a guide I read here: http://nix.cable.nu/adsl.htm

Ah cool, glad to know that works. Now, only a year or so and I could just possibly maybe perhaps might have adsl!

eircom dont seem to mind you running services off it either, web, ssh and ftp all work fine.
