I have a Grand Vitara and the bonnet cable snapped. Anyone got any ideas how I can get the bonnet open. Can this be easily fixed?

Bonnet release cables often just come out of the lever, Are you sure it's broken? Check behind the lever to see if you can see the wire if so grap it with a pliers and pull or better yet see if you can get it back into the lever.

Oooh thats always a bugger, usualy you get warning though. The cable starts to feel "heavy" as you pull the catch, its not a bad idea to lubricate such cables inside the shealth. As said above it might just be the lever or the bonnet catch has seperated.

    Mike.
