Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where are bars that you can have a few drinks without it costing the earth?

    My two suggestions are

The Lotts (just off abbey street) where is 3.50 for bavaria beer (pint). It also has some good live music

Mojo (abbey street) open late at weekends and 3.30 a pint, although not the most sophisticated bar

    Any other suggestions?

O'Looney's in Harold's Cross by the canal are supposed to have the cheapest Guinness in the city.

Last time I was there a pint was about €2.50 (all the time) but no doubt it has gone up since then.

The place is a bit rough around the edges but good fun. 'Rebel' songs and bad-tempered bemulleted barmen. Also a bit of a walk from town if town's your thing.

Parnell Mooneys also do a very bad karoke night. Even though all kareoke is terrible.
