Necronomicon

Following the whole ECW thing where Tazz had a feud with Angle made me realise how used to him as a commentator I am and forgot how cool he was in the ring. I liked the whole Jerry Lawler/Tazz storyline a couple of years back, and think it would be cool to see Tazz in something similar.
What do you think? Or is there something in his contract that prevents him from wrestling?

There's nothing in his contract that prevents him from wrestling. He's just happy in his new role in that he's earning good money in a stable position that'll last a lot longer than his wrestling career ever would have. Apparantly the commentators get treated a lot better than most of the wrestlers because they're contracted employees and get health/pensions benfits as opposed to the wrestlers who are independent contractors. I think there may have been some issues relating to his neck aswell.

No, just his neck. I heard he was going to get the same surgery Angle got a while ago though..not sure if that ever went through. I know Brooklyn Brawler got it done, he seems to be fine. Although I had heard Tazz say he's just not interested in wrestling anymore, that he likes to just commentate now

Which is a damn shame cause the guy has buckets of talent. No offence to necromomicon but that Jerry Lawlor storyline was a poor, poor storyline for a wrestler of Tazz's calibre. He got lumped with crap storylines and showed how he was misused.
