My netopia cayman 3300 is having trouble connecting to d'internet these days. This was the modem i got when eircon first rolled out broadband. The dsl sync light comes on and turns off about five or six times before i get a solid connection. I was wondering if this was a firmware issue i.e. the modem has to download the new firmware everytime it starts up since the lines were upgraded in may/ june. It didnt turn on at all the first time i started having trouble a few weeks ago. Is it dying? Do i have to ring the evil eircon support and wait till next year before someone gets back to me?
Eircon dont seem to support it anymore on their "broadband support page".

Did you try a hard reset. ie.pressing the reset button on the back?
