Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

did anyone go to this gig yesterday (17th July 2005)?
Simple River and 84 held a charity gig in support of Goal yesterday at The Tullamore Court Hotel. I travelled from Dublin to see this gig and it was very good indeed. Entrance was only 10 euro, Simpe River from Portarlington were the support band, they were very good playing some metallica covers and a good few original songs (these were alot heavier). excellent stuff.

The main band was 84 from Tullamore, played a solid 2 hour performance, they were alot lighter than Simple River playing many cover's from bands such as Green Day, Blink 182, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Metallica, Guns & Roses, Incubus & Thin Lizzy. 84's standout perforance's tho were their 2 original songs 'feel the same' and 'make something happen' which had a heavier more mature sound than the punk-rock covers. 84 also played excellent cover's of Metallica's 'fade to black' and 'fuel'. A great night was had by all who attended (0ver 500).

If you live around the midlands and like rock/metal both Simple River and 84 are 2 local bands well worth checking out in the future.
