Agreed!! Said the exact same thing the moment i saw it!

Best part of Family Guy so far this series! :D Brillant and very well done!

    PS - that and
Stewie walking around with the nappy full of "doodee"!! :D

Just those two moments alone made it the best episode of Season 4 so far!

Excellent episode, the best of the series (for the A-Ha video alone ;))

However, reading on another forum (where my American cousin hangs out) - they all seemed to hate it! "Beyond horrible. Seth McFarlane needs to stop F-ing around, ditch American Dad, and get back to making Family Guy good again."

Perhaps it's was more of an 80's-centric episode? As in, only kids who grew up in the 80's got certain things? (
A-Ha video, Goonies, Never Ending Story, Tie-Fighters etc.
    )

It can't just be that they're American can it? To go from everybody loving it here to everyone hating it there was weird!

*goes off singing Take On Me*

I don't think it was that good myself and I grew up during the 80s. I did like the A-ha thing but it seems Family Guy is now being produced to formula. The references are being thrown in but nothing original is being done with them.

Which forum was this? The Americans on the forum that I read (televisionwithoutpity) all loved it as much as we did, for mostly the same reasons (that it was bloody funny!)

It can't be an '80s reference thing because the show has always been full of '80s references. This time they were at least ones I knew! They're just weird and wrong.

but now they are even taking the p1ss out of them selves
when slagging someone i didnt know it cut to the scen of peter sitting in the chair saying "your wondering which way we are going to take this" - didnt get the reference but i still found it very funny

ps has their been any episodes of american dad(which is getting better by the show (
this is the only picture of her that you cant see vag...ahhh vag :D
    ) since episode 7?

no i dont think there has been an american dad since ep 7.

i also thought it was hilarious last night when
peter thinks every chinease person is jackie chan, and then one asian guy points at meg and says "malcolm in the middle" LOL! :D

In the last three episodes alone.
Kramer vs Predator (roffles), He-man (hi-larious) Aha video (my sides are hurting)
Really enjoyable for anyone growing up in the 80s. The playstation generation just won't get it as good.

Ah now.. let's not go nuts!

"To Live And Die In Dixie" still remains my favourite FG episode! But i'm not gonna take this off-topic!

I said "one of" the best, I'm certainly not claiming it to be the best (Brian Goes to Hollywood!) but it's up in the top 5 imo.
"oh no it's the blob, don't worry .. i'll save you!" *SMACK*
"There's just so jmuch doodee, I havent eaten in 4 days cause I just can't take anymore"
"They're all valid points, but what i've discovered is that this book .. can also be used as ... a hat."
