Applet notinited error

    Trying to run applets in IE on my laptop but keep getting notinited error! Have been googling it but cannot find a solution!

    Any help here?

    BTW running Win XP

    The first Google link using "applet not initiated" says:
    Applet Fails to Start

    There is a bug in the plug-in where on rare occasions the .jar files are not downloaded completely. In the browser status bar you will see a message like "Start: applet not initiated".

    The work-around for Internet Explorer is:

    1) Close all your copies of IE until the the little Java man is no longer visible on the task bar

    2) Start IE and go to Tools/Internet Options and choose to Delete Files... to clear IE's temporary file cache.

    3) Go back to the applet page--the jar files will reload and the applet should start properly.
