Did anyone here that "debate" on Today FM during the Last Word earlier today?

They had someone on from the UK who had written a book about people being born gay i.e. that you're born gay and it's not something that you learn to be through socialisation / how you're brought up.

Anyway, they brought on a guest from Belfast who was basically a homophobic christian fundementalist of some sort. He didn't even believe in evolution and even refered to "sodomites"

Whoever is booking guests in there ought to be a lot more careful!! He wrecked a perfectly reasonable discussion with a big rant about how we're all born sinners.

It's worrying to see this kind of fundementalism emerging... and it's even more worrying to see a main stream radio station letting someone like that on air in the first place. I'm all for freedom of speech but that's just ridiculous!

What's next ? Bringing on members of the KKK and BNP when they're discussing immigration issues?!

I heard it on today fm yesterday morning in a repeat.
The guy was a born again nutter from Belfast.
He quoted the book of Leviticus iirc only to have it thrown back at him with the question did he mind if we all bought in our slaves from the UK as this is also in the book of leviticus.
He said he absolutely disagreed with such a practice.
Completely destroying his own argument in the process against homosexuality in the process... but honestly who cares,I doubt many would listen to him anyway with his nutty and actually unchristian approach.

People with biggoted views usually fall fowl of logic when its thrown at them.
