Applying Woodstain to Frontdoor

    Hi, I need to woodstain my front door. Can someone give me some do's and don't's regarding this procedure as I haven't done this before.

    Presuming it's a wooden front door, just use an off the shelf woodstain.
    I normally stain mine every 3yrs with Ronseal (here it comes) 5 yr woodstain.
    I give it a light sanding first, clean down with with spirits and apply 2 coats of stain. That's it.
