Can anyone tell me if I can install LILO on my DOS disk without partitioning?
If I can how's it done?

My other option is copying my kernel to my DOS drive and using LOADLIN to boot.
Anyone got any tips?

Cheers
Spoogie

lilo is cool..
you can configure it to do anything you want, as the source(some of it is in assembly) is included on most linux distributions
lilo installs to the MBR, like most bootloaders, so although you dont need to repartition your drives, you will wipe your MBR..
typing "man lilo" should give you enough information if you have the man pages installed..

Mmmmmmm, can I make a boot floppy that boots to the slave drive and then pass control over to main memory?
So when I want to boot Win 95 I just boot up and when I want to boot Linux I stick in the disk.
That would be perfect.

yeah, u can do that..
when youre installing lilo, install it to the first sector of a floppy instead of the master boot record <IMG SRC="http://lacerta.ucg.ie/boards/smile.gif" WIDTH=15 HEIGHT=15 BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
set up lilo to only boot linux, and then if you stick in the disk, itll boot linux, if you dont, itll boot normal
