    August 2005: The first ever, all Irish, ‘Evolution Music Festival’, has been announced and will feature a fantastic line-up of Ireland’s leading home-grown talent on the 6th August in the beautiful Kilruddery Parklands, Bray, County Wicklow, for 12 hours of festival entertainment and music madness from 12pm to 12am.

    There will be three performance arenas with the main stage dominated by acts like Aslan, the Hothouse Flowers, the Walls, Hugh Cornwell (formerly of The Stranglers), the Blizzards, Delorentos,God is an Astronaut and Jove while two giant marquees will showcase Ireland’s best in hip hop, RNB, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Drum n Bass, Techno and many more alternative music styles.

    Evolution Music Festival will also give new and up coming home-grown talent the opportunity to gain experience and exposure before evolving onto the world stage and a number of DJ’s, including Conor G, Mark Kavanagh, Jay Cisco, Mr Spring, Sonic Trip, DJ Flip (ITF World Scratching Champ 2004), Tu-Ki (Three times Irish DMC Champ) and Bassbin will have the crowds jumping on the night.

    The event promises to be a legendary experience which goes beyond all the expectations of a music festival with four auxiliary entertainment areas, themed under the four elements - Air, Earth, Fire and Water - offering a completely new Festival Experience.

    Air: For those who want to take a break from the musical madness there’s Meltdown@Evolution, a dedicated holistic therapy centre complete with aromatherapy scented air and offering a choice of relaxation therapies including Indian head massage, scalp and facial massage and reflexology.

    Earth: As well as regular nosh there’ll be the chance to sample some of the funkiest foods available with some wild and daring tastes and flavours!

    Fire: A giant Drum Circle will start off in the evening with a high octane bongo drum ensemble….continuing ’till the last man’s standing.

    Water: Complete with chill out room, filled with theatrical lighting and full length surf videos, the calm during the storm perhaps?

    Tickets via ticketmaster priced @ 42:50 & Beer prices will be capped at 4 euro a pint, as will food prices, such as the tasty treats from the big gravel pit BBQ.
