Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sorry, new to this forum, but does anyone run a 'result prediction' competition or anything during the season?

    Well kind of. There was a competition where you had to guess the total amount of goals scored in the PL over a given weekend. Thats about it really as far as i know.

    I could be wrong though

    Every week someone (me eirebhoy/mike65 etc) will post up the fixtures and selected odds, everyone picks their winners and some go bookies and bet on them as an accumulator win or lose only.


    Makes 3pm to 5pm more interesting when your team not playing.

    Is this an individual competition that you set up just for boards.ie members? If it is how do I sign up for it? That URL is just the URL of the site doesnt tell you how to sign up for the boards.ie league

    It is limited to 50 only I think, it only gives the option of sending e-mail invites to e-mail addresses I think.....so I think you put in your predictions and apply for entry to the league :confused: i THINK.

    Yeah, I just joined up there. You type boards.ie into the search box on the righthandside. When it finds boards click on apply to join and you're in. Only three of us in it yet.

    It seems I have to accept or reject all applications which i will of course do.
    (Except for those who gave me a hard time accessing the forum :p ) ;)
