    do NTL impose interleaving ? and if so how can it be turned off ?

    Humm, why do you need it off? Is there something about this practice that is messing up an application? or are you looking for information about Interleaving generally?

    Such items at the transport layers are unlikely to cause too much upset.

    Its unlikely that you will negotiate a pret a porter service if they are rectifying packet numbers.

    Err, no interleaving is a form of error correction that is related to DSL technologies, it has nothing to do with cable BB.

    There is a form of error correction with cable BB, but it doesn't have quiet the same adverse effects as interleaving.

    BTW NTLs pings are now lower then Eircom*, the only people with faster pings is BT LLU. But the difference is so small you wouldn't even notice.

    Don't worry about it, just enjoy what you have.

    * Unless you happen to be in D15, where NTL are having problems.
